The Triennale of Milan is located inside the Palazzo dell’Arte in Sempione Park and it represents an international cultural institution. The location of the palace, designed by architect Giovanni Muzio in 1933, had been studied in order to integrate the area around Castello Sforzesco, Arco della Pace, the Aquarium, a liberty style building and Torre Branca.
Planned to host the international exhibitions dedicated to design, Triennale di Milano organises and produces conferences and events on art, architecture and fashion. Since2007, within its wide and bright rooms, a museum exposing contemporary art works by renowned architects and designers has been set up. Since 2011, it is the location of Teatro dell’Arte, with a total capacity up to 1200 seats; it is a new point of reference in Milan and it gives voice to the artistic expressions offered by digital technologies.
In the Library, there are often book launches, events and activities for children. You can appreciate the superb brunch at the restaurant connected to the garden or a cocktail during summertime at the Triennale Design Café.
