The first Italian design museum could be located nowhere else but in Milan. It is located inside the superb Triennale, which has been for 80 years the driving force of an intense debate at an international level between society, art and companies; it is the milestone for the cultural life and economy of the city.
Italian design and Made in Italy were born in the fifties simultaneously with the industrial development of our country. Triennale Art Museum faces all the problems connected to the economic development and to the social changes exhibiting, in its wide and bright rooms, contemporary art works of famous architects and designers.
There is nothing inside that is just fixed and each year, through settings and exhibitions of great effect, the themes of this ever-growing sector are updated. Among the permanent collections of the Museum, you can see hundreds of study models of Giovanni Sacchi bought by Regione Lombardia and donated to the Triennale.
