The Mediolanum Forum is a sports arena which is 10 km away from Milan, easily reachable from the A1 motorway, the west bypass and the underground number 2. The building, along with PalaLottomatica in Roma, is part of European Arenas Association Network and received the European Prize for Architecture for sports venues in 1994.
The Forum has a covered area of more than 40.000sqm, a central arena with a seating capacity of 12.700 over three levels, as well as a VIP area with corporate boxes, called SkyPoint and SkyBox. The AreaMultisport is a large indoor area within the Forum that is dedicated to fitness, squash, sports on ice, water sports and bowling. Outside the arena there are the Beach Forum, an outdoor 50m long swimming pool surrounded by a green area, and Teatro della Luna, the first theatre in Italy that was designed specifically to host the biggest musicals and their awe-inspiring set designs.
This multi-purpose facility hosts sport events such as hockey games, basketball and tennis matches, as well as many concerts, conventions and events like Festival Latinoamericando held during summer.
